Abstract: THE ROLE OF LOGISTICS IN HEALTHCARE SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT
The objective of this study is to explore the role of logistics in healthcare supply chain management, focusing on its impact on delivery speed, cost efficiency, and patient outcomes. A survey design is employed due to its effectiveness in collecting data from a diverse population. Using Taro Yamane's formula, a sample size of 300 respondents is calculated to ensure statistical significance. The case study is conducted in Abuja, focusing on a healthcare logistics company. The reliability coefficient score of 0.85 indicates high reliability. Findings reveal that effective logistics significantly enhance healthcare supply chain management by improving delivery speed, cost efficiency, and patient outcomes. Recommendations include investing in advanced healthcare logistics solutions and continuously monitoring their impact on supply chain performance.
